Taiwan - Wild Caught Taiwanese Masheer

Just found some pics of wild caught taiwan masheers to share. They are usually caught in shallow, fast flowing rivers in Taiwan. Similar to Tor Putitora caught in India. I was told the Taiwan masheers grow to around 60cm in size.

Yea I would have a pond of these guys if I lived in Taiwan. They are pretty fun to keep. Best part is how active they are. Constantly swimming against my koralias.

Not too sure on what their exact diet is in the wild but judging from the above fishing pictures, I would think they are omnivores. Probably small fish and vegetable matter.

I feed mine sinking pellets.
