    back end dropping

Your aro is probably just scared or not fully adjusted to your tank. They act like that when frightened.

    FS:Panda blood red

That is a great price for that SR. I like it's shape and I am sure the color will be awesome too in a year or two. They say a pumped up SR will have a slower red developement than a skinnier one, but it will come. If you're only 2 or 3 hr. drive from me I'll definitely buy this guy!

    Skittish Aro

My aro that came on the same group buy are very well adjusted now. When they see me they rush to the front of the tank swimmig back and forth asking for food.(too bad they only get to eat once a day:D). The moment I drop the food they jump on it. I even have to drop it from behind their back...

LF ceramic rings. bio home or bac. house

$15 a kilo is a good price for those medias, but I guess you're right, the distribution will be the problem for a "TON" of this :D. Hopefully somebody or a group who has the logistics will pick up on this.

LF ceramic rings. bio home or bac. house

I'm in Regina, the city that rhymes with "FUN :D". Yeah I'll probably be getting some scrubbies latter. The medias that I am looking for is probably too expensive here anyways. Hopefully next near I'll be able to get some in Singapore. Have you considered getting into these higher end...

    Multiple Arowana in one tank

The more the better and them starting small together is the general rule to have a succesfull com (lesser fight). I'll say 6 being a safe minimum number although a lot has been successful with fewer than that and a few, on the other hand, have to "break it down" even with more than six. The...

LF ceramic rings. bio home or bac. house

It's filtering 4'WX8'LX3'H Tank. Here's a link to my tank build http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85132 It has a tank-flush-cleaning concept built into the tank. The biofilter that I am replacing is a Bakki shower which is very expensive to maintain in cold places...

LF ceramic rings. bio home or bac. house

Anybody know where I can get them in CAnada or even US? Just finished my filter box and there is still enough room for about 40 KG of ceramic rings.

    BBXB

That should be more than enough. YOu also don't want a stronger light as it may affect it's crossing.

    BBXB

That's a nice blue aro, it's a little pale, might just be the pic, I am sure it looks a lot better in person and it's still too young for a more intense gold. How often do you have the light on on this guy?

    BBXB

Here's an experience worth sharing when it comes to gold intensity (and maybe core color). about a year ago, I have to put my RTG's in a big sump made of black pond liner. They were there for about 5 months. I didn't give them any lighting, only about 1 hr a day during feeding time (which was...

    Aro Breeding Season?

How old are your aros? was this their first time acting that way? They will usually swim together for a while maybe a few weeks or a month and the female's stomach will bloat a bit as the eggs grow, then she'll release it. Success will usually depend on the male on how good he can fertilize...

    Aro Breeding Season?

Another funny thing in my setup, the alpha aro who occupies 3/4 of the tank and chasses anybody who crosses that line is actually the FEMALE . You would think alpha aro is always a male hey?

    Aro Breeding Season?

Funny you have the same thing going on as my aros. 2 were swimming side by side for almost a month and the male makes a croacking sound. They're less than 2 years old only so I assume they're just practising. They've stopped for almost a week now. I didn't noticed any eggs released though...

    Old (Blood) Super Reds?

I guess to know really if chilli red is a NATURAL mix with another species (RTG), would be a tough question. If it was mixed by the farm, I guess we'll know latter with some inside info from the indo-farm personels. But thinking about it, red pigmentation is already hard to bring out even at...

    Old (Blood) Super Reds?

My understanding is the same as xbackgolden, chilli red and blood reds are 2 natural breeds found in different areas in Kalimantan. Back then blood reds are more common/more abundant than chilli reds and was cheaper, despite being more red and turns red faster than chilli. Chilli takes longer...

    Old Blue base goldens?

You're right article 10 only say's "gold variety" for RTG's.

    Old Blue base goldens?

NOt sure bout this but I think RTG and HBRTG are stated as RTG in article 10. I'll check when I get home :D. My reason for bringing up CITIES is that shouldn't they be the governing body who's suppose to be concerned about the pureness/integrity of the breeds? I mean they're the one issueing...

    Old Blue base goldens?

So cities official just scans the male brooder aro and whatever breed his number crossreference to (XB, SR or RTG) is what the fries is gonna be classified into with out considering what kind is the female?
