Here are a few photos from a visit to the guys in Holland last August 2009. For those of you who do not know of Frank and Nico, check out www.freshwaterstingray.nl

A group of us recently imported a bunch of rays from them, another order should be happening in the spring. One of our forum members will be in Holland shortly, thus more photos should follow in near future.

If anyone knows of a more impressive Asian arowana/stingray/Siamese Tigerfish aquarium anywhere in the world, please let me know!

Theo my dad just recently visited Quang Zhou China while I was in Holland.
The pricing for a reg leo is 200$ can and a BDxLeo is 300$ canadian.
I'm still waiting on shipping cost and so on from them. Maybe when I go over there next spring for a biz trip I'll stop by and take some pics and get more info.

A forum member is in Taiwan now and emailed me prices yesterday. They are about same as Nico's.

Concerning the prices in mainland China, either the ray market is crashing somehow, there is one hell of an opportunity to do imports, or there is a mistake somehow in your dad's information?

There has to be more to this somehow...

He called me earlier and confirmed that the price is right. Thats why i ask him about shipping and stuff. What there warranty on shipping and DOA.

I have heard of people getting taken advantage of. A person chooses one fish, pays for it, then they send you another. Especially with juvenile hybrids and black rays, spots change, etc., so they can just say that the ray changed and there is not much you can do about it. I remember hearing of the same kind of tricks years ago in the aro biz.

The best way, especially with an untried seller would be to actually go there in person, choose the rays, see them packed up, and then arrange the shipping yourself. When are you heading over? :)

I might be traveling over there in spring sometimes to finish up with some of my contacts, but i dont think i'll be ordering from there even with the price like that. Seems a bit too good to be true.
Personally after meeting Niko and seeing how kind and the love he has for his rays. I would personally like to see him again in march or so when i order my rays.
