I have had fish stung and that fish was not. I would bet 100% on bacterial.

Sorry for your LOST!!!. The Tig need very good water quality. I guess your water quality has a spike and cause your tig to die thus the holes on the fin and it's belly.
Tig lives best on it's own without tank mates.
