Nice fish Boydo. It looks like you are going for dark tank for fish #1, WTT for fish #2? Assuming you keep them in this set up and that they are siblings, it will be fun to see if/how they develop different colour characteristics over time.

That's what I called a real Xback.

Very Good catch, It reminded me of when I have gotten mine at the same age. 9"-10"

He's now about 19"-20" after 15 months later.

It turned out to be an Airbus with Gold Wings.

Cheers.

Thanks Cirrus, your right they are siblings. I wanted to see the difference between raising them in white tank opposed to blue tank. It's been 4 month already, it will be fun to see what the future holds.

Very nice

Can see some 6th level starting to shine up

Thanks,

Stunning Goldie you have their!

Wow! Those look awesome!

Thanks Gerry,

The fish are from Pang Long.

One of the share holders in that company posted on here last year looking for people to import their fish into Canada. That post was moved to the special projects section of this forum and discussed with interested members. I toyed with the idea of importing from Pang Long (had 3 or 4 long phone calls to New York), but in the end I decided not to. Boydo has recently imported some aros from Pang Long for resale. Thus, this thread to a certain extent represents a form of stealth marketing (though lets face it, they are beautiful fish :) ). I would rather not revisit the drama of the past (Boydo knows what I am refering to), and I do feel that there is room for Boydo (whom I respect as a hobbyist) to participate freely on this site. Assuming Boydo would like to share with the forum both his passion for the hobby and his fish for sale, would it be appropriate to have him contribute as a sponsor on the same terms as Oliver of Belowwater? Please let me and the forum know what you would like to do Boydo. While I am at it, I will make the same offer to any other Asian arowana importers/wholesalers/retailers. :)

I suggest that any sponsorship funds received from any Asian aro sponsors should be divided amongst the regular moderators of this forum who make the site what it is.

These two pieces are from my personal collection. I thought they were beauties so I wanted to share. Stealth marketing was not the intention. I would like to contribute as a hobbyist to the forum as I always have. I am not sure if there is room for me here as a sponsor yet, but I am currently considering it.

Nice arowana! what is the kelvin rating on the lighting you are using over him?

They are under cabinet lights, normal output T5 they don't have a K rating but I would assume somewhere between 3800-6700.

Thanks,

Pang Long = to expensive

Ah...yes...premium/show quality arowana from any farm like Xian Leng, Peifeng, dream, etc will always be expensive. It's all up to one desires. I had no trouble paying for my gold bars as they are just what I wanted.

I think there is room for you here Boydo. Trust and mutual respect are all that is needed. :)
