Heading to Singapore

Well...I just booked my dream trip!. I'm heading to Singapore on Sept 18 to Sept 27th to attend the Singapore F1 race. Got my weekend VIP Paddock Club pass as well as just booked 2 night at the amber lounge where all the drivers and crew go for entertainment. Katy Perry and Maroon 5 are playing a concert there for the f1 so hopefully I'll see them in the lounge...managed to get in vip passes to the lounge before they sold out!....can't wait!!!

Thanks Joey...I'll take as many as I can...but apparently in the vip paddock side they don't take too many photos...but I'm going to break that rule! LOL...the vip after race party that I'm heading too I've been told no cameras as I'll be lounging with all the racers and their girls..lol...perhaps a hidden camera!
 
yeah...it really is amazing...I'm kinda of shock by it all. Got a call from the event planner in Monaco this morning making sure I've got everything I need. At the after hour party which starts at midnight to 7am I'm not allow to bring cameras and phones...they don't want people's face on papers and internet...I'd like that but I guess the A listeds no....damn! I guess other then the proof of me being there I'm the only one that will really know what and who was there...
 
I'll snap as many photos as I can on the friday practice, but on Sat and sun i will not have my camera with me as after the qualifying and race I'm heading to their vip party so no place to dump my gear. I'll have my iphone with me so i'll have to use that for photos of the race!

LOL...unfortunately I'll only be able to take pictures of them in my memory...if I use a camera I'll get put out into the dumpster....lol

Was in Singapore Aug 26 - 29. Also went to Merlion Park and the surrounding area was preparing for the F1 car race.
 
A very very long day today...only got an hours sleep after arriving on a 24 hours total flight time to Singapore at 3am this morning and couldn't sleep!....was out all day today getting all my passes, learning the MRT (Subway) system and getting updated on the events for this coming weekend starting tomorrow!...it's about to start tomorrow!....need to get some Red Bull into me to last me the entire weekend...it's going to be a no sleep weekend......

Plus, weather-wise, you might see rain on and off throughout the day.

Very clean street everywhere, in my opinion.
 
I''ll be indoors during the weekend so no need to be concern about rain and or heat...very nice so far although I've only been here for a day...don't know anyone so just walking the malls...not sure I'll be visiting any fish stores....they're pretty much all the same right?

The F1 car race area is a bit different from the China town area. Cannot find any fish store there though.


Getting all the chicken and lobster jerky over there. About S $10 per pack.


Singapore Flyer is a fun place to visit and had a nice "sky" view around Singapore. About S $30 per ride lasting about 30 minutes.


If you see a ship-shaped statue on top of a building. that would be the casino building.
 
yeah I saw the casino (Marina Bay Sands)...was there but no gambling. I might try out the flyer as I get a free ride per day with my f1 pass....

did you go to any fish store while you were there? I was thinking stone aquarium..

For Singapore's residence, they need to pay S $100 to get in casino, if I am not mistaken.

I joined a 4-day tour as didn't have too much time checking out other places including local fish stores.

Once you finish the Singapore flyer and go to the souvenir shop, you might see a gold arowana statue (16" - 20") selling at S $4,888.00. Amazing!!!!!
