Several clips showing "Fish Market street" in Hong Kong .......

The hanging pre-bagged fish is proof of how quickly things must sell there. Would love to walk down that strip one day.

Thats awesome. I can't even imagine how long it must take to actually go thru them.

How is the condition of the fish that are prebagged?

There are more saltwater fish and plants aquarium to see at HK fish street but they don't carry high end stingray, and the space is very limited. Instead I am more interest to visit aquarium store at Singapore.

yea id love to go there next yr. also some taiwan fish pro shops to see some quality aro and rays.

Mke, if you're serious let me know. I'm actually considering making the trip next year, and no one else out here would be interested in going.

On the prebagged fish, I've heard of some markets even pre-bagging small aro's! I'd imagine they go so fast that the fish are fine.

The main fish district in Hong Kong is called Tung Choi Street. I've seen top grade full size XB's put in 33 gallon tanks for daily display. Asking prices in the thousands of $. Presumably the fish get put in and out of the small tanks each day, maybe on a rotating basis?

Nearby Tung Choi street there are also some great bicycle stores (Flying Ball Bicylcle Company is a standout). You can save 40-50% retail on high end titanium framed bikes over prices in Canada... ;)

There is a fish district in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia that also does the "bagged aro" thing, Pasut Purdu. I've only seen lower grade rtg's and greens done that way (which makes sense I guess).
