Freshwater Stingrays - Group Buy

Many people are emailing me about the freshwater stingray group buy.

There is a small group of people on the forum who have already arranged a group buy. Fish arrive shortly.

This order will be promoted with photos and documented on arrival.

There will be a second, and likely much larger, group order in the spring of 2010.

I think we can get any CB ray we want - P14, Leo, BD, BD/Leo, Hen, pearl, white...

Only condition is that the fish be sold in pairs.

Pricing and precise of availability of fish (by type and identified by photo), will occur for the spring order.

wow...nice Theo, any idea on pricing from these guys? I know it's not until next spring but gotta figure out how to save for the cash for them! it would be good to get pricing sooner then later as I doubt these are going to be cheap since they are high quality rays....thanks

Hi Chen - the prices I post will beat those of H20 by at least 5%-10%. The fish will be larger than what Mike sells, and also be sold by direct photograph (the fish a person sees in a photo will be the one they get).

I will not know the exact prices until after the coming shipment arrives and all the accounting is done. Also, we are dealing with Euro currency here and so exchange rates will play a role.

For now, just keep H20's prices in mind and realize that I will beat them.

And of course there will be some fish that no one else in N.America currently offers for sale (to my knowledge).

so are the rays in those photos going to be similar ones for sale Theo? if so I would hazard to guess they would be going for 5-9K each....I've just had a couple nice looking BD's offered to me for 6K....it's amazing when people find out you have rays they all come out of the wood work!...lol...that's good anyways. I think my 4 leo's plus my 2 henlei's that are coming will be good enough in my 400gal. Also going to be mates with my 15" Red, 4 8" Azuls Bass, and my wife's 2 red Parrots....wished I had another small tank for those parrots to get them out of my main tank! LOL...I HATE THEM...but if anything happens to them I think I will find all my other fish floating in the morning except for the parrots.

yeah.....just looking at franks setup again. Just not sure what colour substrate to use to best bring out the colour of my Leo's, Henlei's and Tig since their the ones going to be at the bottom...are you looking at the same type of white sand?
